Course content

The Certification programme in Implant Dentistry at Malmö University is an extensive in-depth training certification programme designed for clinicians to learn how to execute dental implant treatments in a safe and reliable way.

The programme is conducted on two levels, Advanced Level and Certification Level, over the course of approximately six months. After completion of Certification Level you will be certified by The Faculty of Odontology at Malmö University to perform surgical and prosthetic implant treatment in accordance with evidence-based and scientific principles.

Advanced Level

Target group:  Experienced implant users.
Goal:  To be able to perform more advanced implant treatments.
  This course can be taken as a separate course.
However, it is mandatory in order to be eligible for the Certification Level.  
Credit hours: 60 hours
(Pre-course: 20 hours, Course length: 40 hours)
Format: Pre-course literature studies and online test.

Certificate Level

Target group:  Experienced and advanced implant users.
Entry requirements: Completed Advanced Level including a minimum of five (5) treated and well documented implant patients
Goal:  To be able to perform more advanced implant treatments to meet the requirements to be certified by the Faculty of Odontology at Malmö University to perform Implant Dentistry.
Credit hours: 120 hours (pre-course: 20 hours + 60 hours for treatment and documentation of implant patients, course length: 40 hours)
Format:

In-between modules: Literature studies and patient treatment.

5 course days including lectures and examination carried out by the Faculty of Odontology at Malmö University, Malmo, Sweden.

Course certificate:

After completion you will be certified by The Faculty of Odontology at Malmö University to perform surgical and prosthetic implant treatment in accordance with evidence-based and scientific principles.
