Graduate school at the Faculty of Education and Society

At the graduate school, eleven doctoral students focus on issues of globalisation, heterogeneity and education.Their work, which is conducted in a multi-cultural context, contributes to a better understanding of how education and learning take place in a society characterised by migration, digitalisation and political movements.

The doctoral students are accepted into five different subjects: History and History Education; Sports Sciences; Science and Mathematics Education; Pedagogy; and Swedish Education.

Available PhD positions at the doctoral school are announced in early spring.

National graduate schools

National graduate schools provide platforms for universities to collaborate on graduate education. They can choose to focus on either a common subject or a common theme. Graduate students meet through courses, workshops, seminars and other events. The national graduate schools are often funded by external grants.
