As a student at Malmö University you need a multicard to gain access to some of the facilities (i.e. computerlabs), to print and make copies and also to borrow books from the library. The multicard is free.

How to get a multicard

You need a computer identity before you can order a multicard. You can order your computer identity here.

1. Take a picture
Photo stations are available here: 

  • Orkanen library, fifth floor, Nordenskiöldsgatan 10

2. Pick up your multicard the next day 
The multicard kan be picked up after midday the next weekday at your chosen delivery point. Remember to bring a valid photo-id. Deliverypoints to choose from are:

  • Orkanen library,fifth floor, Nordenskiöldsgatan 10
  • Hälsa och samhälle, Jan Waldenströms gata 25

3. Find your pin code
You cand find the pin code for your card at ID Service under "Card number [Pinnumber]”. This is also where you can change your code if you want a different one.

The multicard will be activated for access to the University's buildings within 12 hours from when you pick it up. To activate it as a library card, please visit the information desk at the library. 

Lost your multicard?

If you lose your multicard you need to report it at idservice under your profile. You can only order a new card once a report has been filed.

Found a multicard?

If you find a multicard, please submit it to the Helpdesk, 5th floor, Orkanen library. 


  • The card is only valid for university activities. This means that the card is not a valid form of identitification in Sweden (not SIS authorised) and therefore cannot be used as identification at a bank, for example.
  • As the proprietor of the card you are responsible for its use. The card is personal and may not be lent to any other person.
  • When you are on university premises you must present the card to security personnel who patrol our buildings. This applies after office hours Mondays through Fridays and all hours on Saturdays and Sundays, including holidays.
  • The data stored for card production are your name and civic registration number. This data is part of the public domain and is handled according to the Swedish Personal Data Act.
  • The card must be signed when issued. By signing it, you accept the above regulations.
