Exercise classes start again after summer break

Free exercise classes for staff start again on August 27, and you are now invited to suggest new activities. Also, don’t forget that you are entitled to reimbursement of expenses for health-promoting activities, such as gym memberships or massages, of up to 2,500 SEK.

The start of the autumn semester also marks the start of the lunchtime exercise classes for employees. Just like last semester, you can choose between circuit training, aerobics, yoga and floorball, all led by colleagues from the Department of Sport Sciences. The classes for autumn 2019 will be held from August 27 until Christmas, with the exception of public holidays.

Do not forget to claim reimbursement for health-promoting activities

Starting in 2019, you are entitled to claim reimbursement for health-promoting activities of up to 2,500 SEK (or 1,500 SEK for costs you incurred last year). Health-promoting activities include most sports and exercise, the most common cost being gym memberships. You cannot, however, be reimbursed for the purchase of equipment or clothing.

To find out if you have already claimed your reimbursement for the year, log into Primula and check under ‘My page/Personal information’.
