A long essay reading Dylan’s songs and the 1960s, using the themes of ‘love’ , ‘war’ and ‘history’ as lenses. The book oscillates betweeen close reading of songs/lyrics and a portrayal the past and the contemporary times and the gallery of figures passing through Dylan’s lyrics throughout the period.

The book aims to capture as well Dylan’s incorporation and appropriation of American mythology  and history as well as its relation to the tension between individualism and collectivity and the growth of art and social movements for social change in the period.

The book has been submitted  and preliminarily accepted by a publisher, early 2010 - but under the condition of additional publication support (udgivelsesstötte) before the book can be published. The book is written in Danish.
