OM MEDEA

MEDEA är en centrumbildning för kollaborativa medier på Malmö högskola. MEDEA är uppbyggt kring samproduktion med aktörer utanför akademin - företag, organisationer, institutioner, konstnärer och medborgare. I dagsläget har vi ca 90 företag, organisationer och institutioner som vi samarbetar med på olika sätt.

MEDEA arbetar med att utveckla nya sätt att bedriva kollaborativ forskning på, det vill säga flervetenskaplig forskning som bedrivs med andra aktörer. Vi arbetar med utveckling av teorier och produkter/tjänster/produktioner, med speciellt fokus på nya gemenskaper, nya offentligheter och nya gestaltningsformer.

ABOUT MEDEA

MEDEA is a centre for collaborative media at Malmö University. Our work is built on co-production where academic researchers work together with other actors outside the university: companies, organizations, institutions and individuals.

We develop products, services and productions as well as theories in the field of collaborative media. The main focus is on new communities, new publics and new forms of expression.

MEDEA is located on Malmö University premises, with a large studio for experiments, workshops, events and creative work in general. University researchers and external partners work side by side with MEDEA artists-in-residence and entrepreneurs-in-residence to explore and shape the collaborative media. The MEDEA Talks series is a popular venue for the public to learn about our work and meet with highly skilled thinkers and practitioners from the collaborative media and design fields.
