Jerr is currently serving as the full-time interim President and CEO of the Social Enterprise Alliance (www.se-alliance.org), the largest membership organization for social entrepreneurs in North America.
He has previously been a senior communications executive for a Fortune 100 company, managing editor for a chain of regional newspapers, a Peace Corps Volunteer in India, and a guest lecturer at numerous academic institutions, including Cambridge, Carnegie Mellon, Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, Northwestern, Oxford, Stanford and others.
Jerr served as President and CEO of The National Center for Social Entrepreneurs from 1991 to 1999, is one of the six co-founders of the Social Enterprise Alliance, and was named by The NonProfit Times to its nonprofit sector "Power & Influence Top 50" lists in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Jerr also served from 2001 to 2004 as an advisor to England's Department of Trade and Industry Social Enterprise Unit and is the author or editor of six books
