Earlier MIM Master Awards

MIM Master Thesis Award winner 2016 is thesis “Almost The Same, But not Quite: Mimicry, Mockery and Menace in Swedish Transnational/-racial Adoption Narratives" authored by Richey Wyver, former MA in International Migration and Ethnic Relations at Malmö University, currently PhD student at the University of Auckland.

The 2015 MIM Master Essay Award winner is thesis “Being highly skilled and a refugee. Experiences of non-European physicians in Sweden” authored by Katarina Mozetič, PhD student at Oslo University.
The thesis is published in MIM working paper series 16:1 The Work/Non-work Experiences of Highly Skilled Migrants: An Outline of an Emergent Research Field authored by Maja Povrzanović Frykman, Ioana Bunescu and Katarina Mozetič.

MIM Master Essay Award 2014 winner is  thesis “Swedish Anti-Trafficking Policy. Official Framework and Local Practices” by Isabelle Johansson, PhD Student in Social Anthropology at Lund University. The thesis is published in MIM working paper series 14:5.
