Format and submission guide

We invite contributions in the form of papers, symposia and posters. For any of these formats and in any themes above, each contribution shall touch upon meaningful relations with at least two domains among work, family and community. We only accept two contributions per participant including only one contribution as main author.

FORMAT

PAPERS and their presentation
In a session of one hour and fifteen-minutes, each person will have fifteen minutes to present his or her paper, plus five minutes for discussion leaving fifteen additional minutes for a general discussion at the end of the session.

POSTERS and their presentation
Posters will be exhibited for the entire conference. In addition, a designated time will be set for participants to see the posters and interact with their respective authors.

SYMPOSIA and their presentation
Each symposium will be one-and-a-half-hours and consist of three or four speakers discussing a particular topic/subject. After a fifteen-minute presentation by each speaker, a joint discussion will be facilitated by the symposium leader.   

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES & INSTRUCTIONS

By submitting an abstract, you agree to the following understandings: 

  • Submitting an abstract does NOT automatically register you as a conference delegate. Conference registrations are done online at a later date.
  • The acceptance of an abstract does not imply provision of travel, accommodation, registration or any costs associated with the Conference. Costs associated with preparation or presentation of the abstract, are also not included
  • That at least one author will register to attend and present the paper at the Conference. 
  • All authors who are presenting at the CWF Conference will register and pay to attend. 
  • Permission to the conference to publish your abstract submission and/or PowerPoint presentation on the Conference website, app, CD Rom, program if it is accepted for presentation. 
  • You confirm that the submission has been approved by all authors. 
  • You respect the format required by the registration system.

For papers and posters

The 500-750 words (not including page 1) structured abstract must conform to the guidelines below to be accepted.

  • Page 1 must include the following information
    - Names, affiliation and contact details of the authors indicating the main author
    - Title of the paper
    - Theme (as presented above)
    - Format for presentation (poster or paper)
     
  • Page 2 must cover the 5 elements below
    - Background & Aim
    - Methods and Material
    - Main Results and Conclusions
    - Theoretical/Practical/Methodological Implications
    - Potential contributions to the conference

We do not request the use of references. You may use figures and tables. You are asked to follow the format required by the registration system.

For symposium

The 750-1000 words suggestion for symposium must conform to the guidelines below to be accepted:

  • Page 1 must include the following information
    - Title of the symposium
    - Theme (as presented above)
    - Name, affiliation and contact details of the symposia’s leader
    - Names and affiliations and contacts for all discussants in the symposia
     
  • Page 2-3 must cover the 4 elements below
    - Background & Aim for the symposium
    - Short review of each paper
    - Questions wished to be discussed at the symposium
    - Potential contribution to the conference

We do not request the use of references. You may use figures and tables.
