For those who work as a support person

As a support person for a fellow student with a disability you have a very important role to play. A support person can provide notetaking or act as a guide, mentor or study assistant.

Notetaking support

Providing notetaking support involves helping students with a functional impairment to take notes during lectures. You must naturally take notes carefully to ensure that what you write can be read and understood by others than yourself.

Guide

Working as a guide means that you help a student to become acquainted with the University buildings and to move from one place to another.

Mentor

A mentor is a fellow student who assists with planning and establishing a structure. Mentor meetings take place on University premises during the daytime. If you are interested, send a personal letter to funk@mah.se

Study assistant

Working as a study assistant means that you support a student during various practical sessions and provide writing or reading assistance.
