Research
Research at the Faculty of Culture and Society is problem-oriented and operates on the basis of a multidisciplinary perspective, which means that a number of different disciplinary perspectives, angles of approach and aspects are put into play. Research topics engage a user perspective and are formulated in close association with the social segments occupying the centre of our research.
Three of Malmö University’s priority educational and research fields are part of the Faculty of Culture and Society: Urban Studies, which focuses on sustainable environments and global processes of change; New Media, which is oriented towards the interplay between new media, public spheres and forms of expression; and Language, Migration and Society, which conducts research on international migration processes and their causes and effects.
In addition, the area also encompasses numerous research projects in political studies, interactive design, literature, languages, property issues and more.
