Research
Research at the School of Arts and Communication begins from an aesthetic-technical viewpoint where modern information technology and new media join the worlds of design, art, culture and society.
The research field Interaction Design has its roots in the traditional design sciences and computer science but also in the social sciences, such as culture and media and the crossover between art and technology.
All the research and artistic development work is split into two intersectional themes: Design and Culture and Media. Researchers have lab resources, design space, experimental rooms and exhibitions spaces at their disposal.
In our studios, researchers, designers, artists and undergraduates all work under the same roof. The studio work at the school takes place in close cooperation with local cultural institutions and companies.
