Half of the world's population live in urban areas. In 25 years, the United Nations expects that number to grow to 75 percent.
But cities are not static. They grow, shrink and develop. All of these changes impact society. Through our programmes and courses, you will learn how to become a leader in the challenges facing sustainable urban management.

Master's programmes and single subject courses in English
We offer two one-year master's programmes in Leadership for Sustainability and Sustainable Urban Management. We also offer several courses in environmental sciences, management/leadership and entrepreneurship.

Urban Studies' research environment and ongoing projects
Our department carries out research with the long term goal of building sustainable and attractive cities. Some previous research projects have focussed on Investment Strategies in Europe and Retail Planning for Cities Sustainability.
