Welcome to the Centre for Widening Participation or CKB for short from the Swedish name, Centrum för kompetensbreddning. We aim to give all students an equal chance to achieve their goals, regardless of their previous education. The Centre for Widening Participation offers students preparatory programmes for higher education as well as supplementary education for foreign academics.
Together with other areas at Malmö University, the Centre for Widening Participation works with issues related to broader representation, recruitment and diversity, primarily among students. CKB targets three main areas within the university: education, research and collaboration.

The Centre for Widening Participation strives to attract new groups of students to Malmö University and expand recruitment efforts in order to reach students of all levels and abilities.

The centre also focuses on research, monitoring, evaluating and contract training often in colloboration with various partners in order to ensure students receive the best teaching methods.
