Student Union Opens Help Desk
2009-11-13
Now it will be easier to get in touch with the Student Union and get help with student-related issues. A newly opened help desk in the library will be staffed three days a week, and serve as a meeting point for students to get help from the Student Union with problems that can be difficult to resolve on their own.
It is challenging to reach out to 20 000 students, but the Student Union strives to be more outgoing, accessible, and above all, more visible to students. To meet this goal, a new help desk has opened in the library. There will be representatives from the Student Union available to assist students with various issues and concerns, and even members of the board and council will be accessible.
The aim of the new help desk is to reach out with help and information, while at the same time getting to know students and their needs and wishes better. Located in the library foyer, the Student Union can effectively reach out to the 4,000 visitors who daily pass through the entrance doors on the fifth floor.
The help desk is part of the union's effort improve contact with students. Five people are currently working on student outreach and will be manning the help desk, which will initially be open three days a week.
The Student Union Help Desk will be staffed:
Mondays: 12-14
Tuesdays: 10-16
Wednesdays: 14-17.30
