Finding your Lecture Hall/Room

It might look confusing when you see your lectures and classes take place in rooms with names that are made up of letters and numbers, but it really is very simple. Here is what they all mean.

The university buildings are spread across the city and the letters in your schedule refer to which building the classes will take place in. Accordingly:

NI – Niagara
Nordenskiöldsgatan 1
Classrooms in Niagara have names that begin with NI; for example, NIB0204, where NI stands for Niagara, the third letter is for the part of the building (A, B or C), the first two digits are the floor and the last two are the number of the room.

OR – Orkanen
Nordenskiöldsgatan 10
Classrooms in Orkanen have names that begin with OR; for example, OR:D222, where OR stands for Orkanen, the third letter is for the part of the building, the first digit is the floor and the last two are the number of the room.

G8 – Gäddan
Citadellsvägen 7
Classrooms in Gäddan have names that begin with G8; for example, G8:507, where G8 stands for Gäddan, the first number is the floor and the last two are the number of the room.

AS – Faculty of Health and Society
Jan Waldenströms gata 25
Classrooms in Health and Society have names that begin with AS; for example, AS:U407, where AS stands for Health and Society, the first number is the floor and the last two are the number of the room.

KL – Faculty of Odontology
Carl Gustafs väg 34
Classrooms at The Faculty of Odontology have names that begin with KL; for example, KL:3560, where KL stands for the building, the first number is the floor and the last three are the number of the room.

T47 – Black Box
Beijerskajen 8
Some classes in performing arts design take place in the so-called Black Box.
