Distance students at Malmö University can get help from the Library with borrowing books and searching for information. For questions about your computor identity - please contact Helpdesk

Get a library card

To borrow, request and reserve books you need a library card. You can get a library card at any of the libraries at Malmö University or by ordering it from the web. However, you don´t need a library card to access e-books and online journals and articles.

Borrowing Books

If you cannot get to the library we will send books and films to you by post. To compensate for the delivery time the loan period is extended by one week. You will have to pay the return postage.
NB: We do not send books to students living in the Malmö region, nor to students living abroad.

1.To check if the book is a part of the Library collection, search Libsearch.
2. If the book is checked out, click the 'Place a hold.' button and enter your name and library card number.
3. If the book is available, please fill out this form
4. You can check and delete requests under My Loans/Renew loans from the library web page.
5. You are responsible for paying postage and for the safe return of any loaned material.

Renewing your loans

You can renew your books and films yourself at My Loans/Renew loans. You can also change your contact details here. 

Request articles

If you want to read an article from a scientific journal or other periodicals that are available at the library, we will make a copy of the article and send it to you for a fee of 20 kronor.

Interlibrary loans

If we don't have a book that you need, you may request it from another library. The cost and handling for this is the same that applies to a regular library loan.
