Academic year

The academic year in Sweden is divided into Autumn and Spring semester.

Autumn semester 2011: 29 August - 15 January 2012
Spring semester 2012: 16 January - 1 June

Autumn semester 2012: 3 September - 20 January 2013
Spring semester 2013: 21 January - 9 June

Application rounds

There are several application rounds for studies in Sweden. Check under “When to apply” to see which suits you.

Below is a list with the important dates and dead line for the next application round. If you have made an application you can see in which round by locking at your application number, it starts with a reference to an application round, for example MASTERHT12/number.

The dates listed below are preliminary dates and can be subject to change.

Autumn Semester - 2012 

International applications - Master's Degrees, studying in August 2012 (MASTERHT12)

• 17 October 2011: Online service opens
• 16 January 2012: Application deadline
• 1st February 2012: Deadline for receipt of supporting academic documents (all applicants) and documentation of fee exempt status (if required)
• You can expect a reply around 17 March.
• 2 April: Last date to confirm your offers
• Around 14 April you can expect the result from second selection (you do not need to confirm the second selection)
