When to Apply:Bachelors programmes and courses at Malmö University

There are several application rounds for studies in Sweden.  Below is a short explanation and guide for you to find the one that best suits you.

Applying for Autumn semester (September-January)

International application round

Opens around  1st of December and closes 15th of January.
Malmö University's offerings should be published around mid-November.

We recommend that all international applicants apply in the international application rounds since the Notifications of Selection is published much sooner (end of March).

Applicants from EU/EEA or Switzerland (EU applicants)

There is a later application round directed at EU applicants finishing their upper secondary education in spring.
Application period between 15th of March till 15th of April.

We cannot recommend that Non-EU applicants apply in the later application rounds since it will be near impossible to apply for and receive a residence permit in time before semester starts. 

Applying for Spring semester

International Application round

Opens 1st of June and close 15th of August. All documents, including passport copy or payment of tuition fee, must have arrived before 1st of September.

Malmö University's offerings will be published around 1st of June.

Applicants from EU/EEA or Switzerland (EU applicants)

Applicants who are exempted from application fees (EU, EEA, or Switzerland) can apply in the general application round 15th of September to 15th of October. 

Again, we cannot recommend that Non-EU applicants apply in the later application rounds since it will be near impossible to apply for and receive a residence permit in time before semester starts.
