Welcome to this GPS Seminar with Johan Brännmark, Associate Professor, Departments of Global Politicat Studies.
Political theory that is strongly rooted in current practices and institutions potentially avoids the problems often associated with thinking about justice sub specie aeternitatis, but faces another type of problem instead: how to really be able to challenge the status quo when basing one’s theorizing in it. This paper looks at how to enable social criticism given a practice-dependent approach to normative theorizing.
